DESCRIPTION:

A large spreading tree, producing crops of large excellent quality nuts. A late leafing variety, suitable for areas with late spring frosts. Used fresh, for drying and cooking.

MATURITY:

April to May (Mid to Late Season)

SUGGESTED POLLINATORS:

Considered self fertile, however generally planting 2 different varieties assists in pollination.

COMMENTS:

Used fresh, and for drying, cooking. Generally takes a few years before cropping. Prefers temperate climates.

TREE CARE:

Plant in a sunny position with well drained and well worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union above the soil level. Water in well and keep soil moist until tree is established. Fertilise when planting and again after new growth appears. Prune tree when planting
