DESCRIPTION:

Small black fruit hangs in clusters from a small growing bush to approx. 1-2m.

Early January

SUGGESTED POLLINATORS:

Self fertile, however, sometimes an improved crop can be experienced when another variety is planted nearby.

COMMENTS:

Very high in Vitamin C, fruit is used in juices, preserves and jellies, as well as eaten fresh. Prefers a protected position and careful pruning requirements for best fruit production. Each year prune out old wood to encourage new growth.

TREE CARE:

Plant in a sunny position with well drained and well worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union above the soil level. Water in well and keep soil moist until tree is established. Fertilise when planting and again after new growth appears. Prune tree when planting to encourage new growth.
