DESCRIPTION:

Sir Don (PBR)

Is a variety of Cherry that has been around for many years. It is a self-fruitful variety which produces large heart shaped fruit, which has dark red to black skin and firm, sweet red flesh.  Growing to a height of approximately 2 – 2.5m at maturity.

MATURITY:

Fruit is produced in late December to early January.

COMMENTS:

Fruit is used for fresh fruit, jams, preserves and cooking.

TREE CARE:

Plant in a well drained and well worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union above the soil level. Water in well and keep soil moist until tree is established. Fertilise when planting and again after new growth appears. Prune tree when planting to encourage new growth.
