DESCRIPTION:

This is a large papershell nut that is broad and oval in shape and has a sweet flavour.

COMMENTS:

A reliable cropping tree with an upright growth habit. Almonds are high in fibre and nutrients, cholesterol free and contain vitamin E. Can be eaten fresh or roasted. Harvest nuts just as the shell starts to split open. This variety can be stored on the shell for months. Once almonds are shelled store them in an air tight container.

TREE CARE :

Plant tree in a warm protected area with well drained and well worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union above the soil level. Water in well and keep soil moist until tree is established. Fertilise when planting and again after new growth appears. Prune tree when planting to encourage new growth.
