DESCRIPTION:

A large spreading tree, producing crops of large excellent quality nuts. Large oval shaped nuts, a late leafing variety, suitable for areas with late spring frosts.

Walnuts are very high in Omega 3 and can assist in reducing cholesterol.

SUGGESTED POLLINATORS:

Considered self fertile, however also used as a pollinator for Chandler.

COMMENTS:

Used fresh, and for drying, cooking. Bearing fruit at 3-5 years. Prefers temperate climates.

TREE CARE:

Plant in a sunny position with well drained and well worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union above the soil level. Water in well and keep soil moist until tree is established. Fertilise when planting and again after new growth appears. Prune tree when planting to encourage new growth.
