FEATURES:

An impressive medium sized tree with a vase-shaped habit. A slender trunk supports a dense canopy of green, serrated leaves, which turn yellow in Autumn. Characteristic furrowed grey bark.

COMMENTS:

A very hardy tree, suitable to most soil conditions, and extremely resistant to Dutch elm disease. An excellent shade tree for larger gardens, parks and street plantings.

TREE CARE:

Plant in a well drained and well worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union above the soil level. Water in well and keep soil moist until tree is established. Fertilize when planting and again after new growth appears. Prune tree when planting to encourage new growth.
