Prunus persica x salicina

DESCRIPTION:

This is a natural hybrid between a Plum and an Apricot. Large sweet high quality fruit. Flesh is a vibrant yellow when immature changing to yellow red when ripe. Skin is a dark plum colour – Freestone.

MATURITY:

Late November early December

SUGGESTED POLLINATORS:

Partially self fertile but will produce a heavier crop with another apricot or plum that flowers at a similar time.

COMMENTS:

Used for fresh fruit, stewing and preserves.

TREE CARE:

Plant in a sunny position with well drained and well worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union above the soil level. Water in well and keep soil moist until tree is established. Fertilise when planting and again after new growth appears. Prune tree when planting to encourage new growth.
