FEATURES:

A deciduous large shrub or small tree with large star shaped blooms. Masses of fragrant pale lilac pink flowers are produced in mid Spring. Buds are produced on bare stems and continue flowering as the leaves emerge.

SHAPE:

Rounded, upright branching. Good structure.

FOLIAGE:

Young leaves are copper colored, becoming shiny deep green and oval shaped.

FLOWERS:

Large star shaped fragrant, pale lilac pink flowers.

COMMENTS:

A spectacular small tree or large shrub, ideal for any garden. Prefers partial shade with good drainage and shelter from wind, so that the flowers are not damaged. Hardy.

TREE CARE:

Plant in a well drained and well worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union above the soil level. Water in well and keep soil moist until tree is established. Fertilize when planting and again after new growth appears. Prune tree when planting to encourage new growth.
