FEATURES:

This strong, vigorous tree grows to a height of 5 metres. Beautiful, tulip shaped, fragrant primrose-yellow flowers are borne on bare branches in Spring. Very large, dark green shiny leaves appear after flowering and turn yellow in Autumn.

Pyramidal.

FOLIAGE:

Young leaves are copper colored, becoming very large and shiny dark green. Leaves turn yellow in Autumn.

FLOWERS:

Tulip shaped, fragrant primrose-yellow flowers are borne on bare branches in Spring.

COMMENTS:

Plant in a sunny position with good drainage and shelter from wind, so that the flowers are not damaged. Fertilize and prune to shape after flowering if required. Frost tolerant. Blooms very freely from a young age.

TREE CARE:

Plant in a well drained and well worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union above the soil level. Water in well and keep soil moist until tree is established. Fertilize when planting and again after new growth appears. Prune tree when planting to encourage new growth.
