FEATURES:
White ash is a fast growing large deciduous tree and has an attractive shape which is useful for shade cover. Leaf colour is dark green above and lighter below, turning yellow with an overlay of purple in Autumn. The tree is oval shaped when young, becoming more rounded with age, with upright spreading branches.

COMMENTS:
Because it is so hardy and has good form, it is widely planted as an ornamental tree. It is an adaptable tree, growing in a wide range of positions but for best results, a well drained soil that can be watered in dry periods is preferred.

Plant in a well drained and well worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union above the soil level. Water in well and keep soil moist until tree is established. Fertilize when planting and again after new growth appears. Prune tree when planting to encourage new growth.
