DESCRIPTION:

Deciduous small tree with large single deep pink-red flowers which are displayed on long slender branches, in mid to late Spring. This variety is better known for its blossom. Reddish-brown fruit is produced in small quantities. Foliage is bronze-green, changing to deep orange in Autumn.

COMMENTS:

An interesting tree with its contrasting flowers and foliage.

TREE CARE:

Plant in full sun in a well drained and well worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union above the soil level. Water in well and keep soil moist until tree is established. Fertilize when planting and again after new growth appears. Prune tree when planting to encourage new growth.
