DESCRIPTION:

Deep red single bell shaped flowers, which hang in clusters from the branches in early Spring. Foliage is dark green with new growth of a bright green, turning bronze/red in Autumn.

COMMENTS:

Also known as “Formosan Cherry” one of the earliest flowering cherries to bloom. Protect from strong winds to prevent flower damage. Suitable to grow in warmer climates and ideal to plant in narrow situations.

TREE CARE:

Plant in full sun in a well drained and well worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union above the soil level. Water in well and keep soil moist until tree is established. Fertilize when planting and again after new growth appears. Prune tree when planting to encourage new growth.
