FEATURES:

This is a small hardy deciduous tree with crimson scarlet foliage in Spring, retaining the brilliant colour until mid Summer when it turns to a pleasant mottled reddish green. Autumn colors are shades of orange and red. The leaves are small and palmate, usually 7 lobed.

COMMENTS:

Excellent for container planting and a brilliant garden foliage specimen. Place Shindeshojo next to a green maple for a brilliant contrast. Thrives in partial shade and moist soil.

TREE CARE:

Plant in a well drained and well worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union above the soil level. Water in well and keep soil moist until tree is established. Fertilize when planting and again after new growth appears. Prune tree when planting to encourage new growth.
