Outstanding new Elm, Red Emperor is a medium sized, semi-deciduous tree. Small glossy green leaves turn a highly ornamental Burgundy color in Autumn. Leaves will hold on the softly arching branches until late winter.  Attractive mottled bark of cream, grey and brown.

COMMENTS:

Hardy tree, suitable to most soil conditions. Ideal for larger gardens, street plantings and parks.

TREE CARE:

Plant in a well drained and well worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union above the soil level. Water in well and keep soil moist until tree is established. Fertilize when planting and again after new growth appears. Prune to shape if necessary.
