FEATURES:

An attractive deciduous tree valued for its ornamental shape. Willowy pendulous branches of narrow silvery green foliage make a graceful tree. The bark is also silvery grey in tone. The leaves have a downy undersides when young.
Cream flowers are borne in clusters in spring and are followed by inedible yellow/brownish pear shaped fruits.

Attractive, silvery foliage, weeping deciduous tree with pretty Spring Blossom.

FLOWERS:

Cream blossom clusters are followed by small brownish fruit.

COMMENTS:

Choose an open sunny position in well drained soil. Dig a hole twice the width of the roots. After planting spread mulch above the roots to retain soil moisture and suppress weeds, but keep away from the trunk.

TREE CARE:

Plant in a well drained and well worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union 10cm above the soil level. Water in well and keep soil moist until tree is established. Fertilize when planting and again after new growth appears. Prune tree when planting to encourage new growth.
