Pink Tulip Tree

FEATURES:

Known as Pink Tulip Tree, this medium to tall tree produces large, faintly fragranced flowers shaped like a goblet which open like a water lily. They range in color from rose-pink to white in early Spring. Large leaves follow in spring and are a shiny dark green.

COMMENTS:

Plant in a sunny position with good drainage and shelter from wind, so that the flowers are not damaged. Fertilize and prune to shape after flowering if required. Frost tolerant. This variety does not flower until maturity.

TREE CARE:

Plant in a well drained and well worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union above the soil level. Water in well and keep soil moist until tree is established. Fertilize when planting and again after new growth appears. Prune tree when planting to encourage new growth.
