Tulip Tree

DESCRIPTION:

The tulip tree is known for its attractive tulip shaped scented flowers of yellowish-green with orange centers which appear after the new leaves. The leaves are large have a distinct shape and are green tuning golden in autumn. Prefers well drained rich soil, plant in full sun. Suitable in acid soils, also tolerant to air pollution.

COMMENTS:

Tolerant to air pollution. Plant in full sun, prefers well drained rich soil but is also suited to acid soils.

TREE CARE:

Plant in a well drained and well worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union above the soil level. Water in well and keep soil moist until tree is established. Fertilise when planting and again after new growth appears. Prune to shape if necessary.
