DESCRIPTION:

Large double mauve-blue flowers are rosy-violet in bud. These fragrant blooms are held at the tip of the branches and attract bees and butterflies into the garden in mid spring.

Upright strong shrub

FOLIAGE:

Green heart shaped leaves.

FLOWERS:

Large double mauve-blue flowers in mid spring. Slight fragrance.

COMMENTS:

Plant in full sun. Annual mulching and fertilizer in autumn recommended, with summer watering required.

TREE CARE:

Plant in a well drained and well worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union approximately 5 to 10cm BELOW the soil level. Water in well and keep soil moist until tree is established. Fertilize when planting and again after new growth appears. Prune to shape if necessary.
