DESCRIPTION:

Single, sweetly scented, red-purple upright flower spikes in mid spring. This heirloom lilac, a profuse bloomer, is an excellent choice for a shrub border or as a single specimen.

Upright shrub.

FOLIAGE:

Green heart shaped leaves.

FLOWERS:

Single dark purple, fragrant upright flower spikes.

COMMENTS:

Plant in full sun, in well drained soil. Prune after flowering. Annual mulching and fertilizer in autumn recommended, with summer watering required.

TREE CARE:

Plant in a well drained and well worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union approximately 5 to 10cm BELOW the soil level. Water in well and keep soil moist until tree is established. Fertilize when planting and again after new growth appears. Prune to shape if necessary.
