DESCRIPTION:

A fast growing deciduous shrub. Highly fragrant deep reddish-purple, upright double flower clusters, with curling petals of a paler mauve in mid-spring.

Upright shrub.

FOLIAGE:

Green heart shaped leaves.

FLOWERS:

Double deep reddish purple upright flower clusters. Strong fragrance

COMMENTS:

Prune after flowering. Annual mulching and fertilizer in Autumn recommended, with Summer watering required.

TREE CARE:

Plant in a well drained and well worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union approximately 5 to 10cm BELOW the soil level. Water in well and keep soil moist until tree is established. Fertilize when planting and again after new growth appears. Prune to shape if necessary.
