FEATURES:

This upright, fast growing deciduous tree has attractive lustrous dark green leaves that turn a golden yellow in Autumn. The bark is grey/darkish brown becoming ridged and furrowed with age.

COMMENTS:

Popular shade tree. Ideal for parks and avenue planting. Frost hardy, suitable to most climates, once established it is drought tolerant and also tolerant of pollution.

TREE CARE:

Plant in a well drained and well worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union above the soil level. Water in well and keep soil moist until tree is established. Fertilize when planting and again after new growth appears. Prune tree when planting to encourage new growth.
