FEATURES:

This variety is known as the Flowering Ash, producing an abundance of fragrant white fluffy flowers in mid Spring to Summer, followed by clusters of seed like fruit. Young growth is a mid-green, changing through the season to purple bronze then to coppery gold foliage in Autumn.

Upright tree with a rounded dense crown.

FOLIAGE:

Pinnate leaves are mid-green, turning through the season to purple bronze then to coppery gold foliage in Autumn.

FLOWERS:

Fragrant clusters of creamy white flowers are produced in abundance.

COMMENTS:

Useful as a shade tree for larger gardens and parks. Will tolerate a range of positions, and is popular for use as a street tree. Frost hardy. Does not like wet soils.

TREE CARE:

Plant in a well drained and well worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union above the soil level. Water in well and keep soil moist until tree is established. Fertilize when planting and again after new growth appears. Prune tree when planting to encourage new growth.
