Enclosed in a green prickly burr, April Gold is a large dark brown nut used for roasting and cooking.

It is recommended to plant 2 different varieties to assist pollination

COMMENTS:

Growing to approx. 15 – 20m, this is a large spreading tree with good crops. More suitable to cool climate areas, tolerates frost.

TREE CARE:

Plant in a sunny position with well drained and well worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union above the soil level. Water in well and keep soil moist until tree is established. Fertilise when planting and again after new growth appears. Prune tree when planting to encourage new growth. Height to approx. 15 – 20m.
