Known as Ghost Maple or Silver Box Elder, a small hardy fast growing tree to 8m, with a rounded habit. Foliage is a pale green with creamy silver irregular markings.

COMMENTS:

Suitable to most climates, requires partial shade to avoid leaf scorch. Tolerant to coastal areas and wind. Be aware that some branching may revert to plain green leaves, and these should be removed. Roots can be invasive.

TREE CARE:

Plant in a well drained and well worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union above the soil level. Water in well and keep soil moist until tree is established. Fertilize when planting and again after new growth appears. Prune tree when planting to encourage new growth.
