DESCRIPTION:

A large tree with strong branching and a spreading habit. Large dark green leaves have 5 deeply incised lobes, which change to gold and brown in Autumn. Attractive bark of greys and fawns. Flaking bark produces a striking mottled appearance over winter.

COMMENTS:

Excellent shade tree well known fro street and park plantings. Tolerant of air pollution, frost hardy. Full Sun.

TREE CARE:

Plant in a well drained and well worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union above the soil level. Water in well and keep soil moist until tree is established. Fertilize when planting and again after new growth appears. Prune to shape if necessary.
