DESCRIPTION:

Very large light brown shiny nuts, with a distinct large base. Nut is enclosed in a green prickly burr.

Late April

It is recommended to plant 2 different varieties to assist pollination

COMMENTS:

Used for roasting and cooking. This is a very large spreading tree with good crops; more suitable to cool climate areas and can tolerate frost.

TREE CARE:

Plant in a sunny position with well drained and well worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union above the soil level. Water in well and keep soil moist until tree is established. Fertilise when planting and again after new growth appears. Prune tree when planting to encourage new growth.
